Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic were fired on the last day of the season and there have been some moving parts in the club’s front office an board. Jan-Christian Dreesen has been brought in to replace Kahn as CEO and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has made a return to the club’s supervisory role. There is still no new sporting director to replace Brazzo, but Rummenigge recently said that it will be himself, Uli Hoeness, Thomas Tuchel, and Dreesen that will discuss all things regarding transfers this summer — both inbound and outbound.
However, a recent report from Sport Bild (as captured on Twitter by @iMiaSanMia), has revealed that Gnabry had an irritation in his metatarsus but had elected to play through it for a few weeks as Bayern had no real striker solution with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting out due to injury issues too.
This year, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are looking back on their rich history with great pride. The club has an extraordinary anniversary to celebrate, and special occasions call for special attire: to mark their 125th anniversary, TSG Hoffenheim are therefore proud to present an extraordinary special jersey with an exclusive design. The jersey picks up on historical elements of the club, combining tradition with modernity. In keeping with the colour combination that has accompanied us through this historic season, the jersey shines in a dark blue tone and is complemented by elegant, golden accents. Two golden pinstripes adorn the jersey and the club logo, surrounded by a laurel, shines in the anniversary look. The logos of the main sponsor SAP (or syNeo for the TSG women), sleeve sponsor hep solar and equipment supplier JOMA are also in an elegant gold tone, creating a harmonious and festive overall picture that does justice to the special nature of the club’s history.
VfB Stuttgart delivered a hugely impressive performance to beat Borussia Dortmund 5-1 at home.
You stated that your interest in football was always rather limited. So how exactly did you become club president?
Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfL Wolfsburg played out a true Bundesliga classic on Sunday afternoon. There were no fewer than five first-half goals at the BayArena but despite putting up a courageous fight, the Green-and-Whites ended up losing 4-3 to the German champions. VfL started brilliantly and took a fifth-minute lead courtesy of Nordi Mukiele’s own goal, only for Florian Wirtz to equalise nine minutes later. Jonathan Tah completed the turnaround on 32 minutes to put the hosts in the driving seat, but the Wolves responded through Sebastiaan Bornauw (37’) before Mattias Svanberg put them 3-2 ahead in first-half stoppage time (45+1’). The contest continued to ebb and flow after the break, with Piero Hincapie restoring parity once more four minutes into the second half. Yannick Gerhardt was dismissed with two minutes remaining, before Victor Boniface struck in the third minute of added time to earn Leverkusen a come-from-behind win and ensure VfL’s efforts went unrewarded.
Bayern Munich’s season is over and now we are left to debate what went right, what went wrong, and how everyone ended up in this place.

Head coach Sebastian Hoeneß, Atakan Karazor and Deniz Undav reflect on the 5-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.
He arrived at Bayern Munich in 2014, seemed good at first, started losing his hairline, wasn’t actually good, Juventus were sucked into buying him in 2018, his hairline and footballing ability kept getting worse, then Bayern were suckered into loaning him back in 2020. Yeah, in probably the 15th most exciting story in a dramatic week in Bavaria, Costa has been sentenced to be arrested.
