This year, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are looking back on their rich history with great pride. The club has an extraordinary anniversary to celebrate, and special occasions call for special attire: to mark their 125th anniversary, TSG Hoffenheim are therefore proud to present an extraordinary special jersey with an exclusive design. The jersey picks up on historical elements of the club, combining tradition with modernity. In keeping with the colour combination that has accompanied us through this historic season, the jersey shines in a dark blue tone and is complemented by elegant, golden accents. Two golden pinstripes adorn the jersey and the club logo, surrounded by a laurel, shines in the anniversary look. The logos of the main sponsor SAP (or syNeo for the TSG women), sleeve sponsor hep solar and equipment supplier JOMA are also in an elegant gold tone, creating a harmonious and festive overall picture that does justice to the special nature of the club’s history.
When the club was founded as a gymnastics club in Hoffenheim on 1 July 1899, nobody could have imagined that 125 years later, the club would be playing in European competition for the fourth time. In this anniversary season, the village, which has a population of around 3,300, will once again be competing against major European cities. It is a unique success story – 125 years of history, 125 years of passion and vision. “We are incredibly proud to offer our fans a piece of the history of this great club with this jersey,” says TSG legend Pavel Kadeřábek, who has been wearing the Hoffenheim jersey for almost ten years and was one of the first to be allowed to try on the extraordinary new shirt.
TSG Hoffenheim will wear their special jersey for the anniversary match against SV Werder Bremen on Sunday (kick-off 17:30 CEST). The TSG women will also be wearing the new shirt when they too take on Werder Bremen, a club that was also founded in 1899. On 6 October (Sunday, 18:30 CEST), coach Theodoros Dedes’ team will host the Hanseatic side in the Dietmar Hopp Stadium.
Club legends such as Andreas Beck, Sebastian Rudy and Sejad Salihović also came together to pose in the new shirt for the photo shoot for the anniversary jersey. The limited-edition special jersey is now available in the fan shop and online shop. The jersey is available from €59.95.
