This would be the first time since the Jurgen Klopp era at Dortmund that a club besides Bayern would be lifting the Meisterschale. All of Bayern’s shortcomings this season, whether under Nagelsmann or Tuchel’s watch, would be compounded into Bayern’s first season since 2012 without silverware, but even then, they finished second in all three competitions. That wouldn’t be the case this time around if they lose out to Dortmund in the league after getting knocked out of both cups before the semi-finals.

Naby Keïta will not return to team training with the first-team squad, and will undertake an individual training programme instead. This decision followed a conversation between Naby, his agent, and the SV Werder Bremen sporting management team.

Mitchell Weiser signed a contract extension at Werder Bremen just before the final home match of last season. The full-back was in the mixed zone today as he looked ahead to the new season and reviewed how pre-season has gone so far, giving his thoughts on the Green-Whites’ current status. 

A tweet from Gladbach’s official Twitter account (shown below) states that Ranos has signed a deal that would keep him with the Foals until 2027. The 19-year-old striker has now moved to a club where he could further his development or even start games.
