Bayern Munich want to sell Alexander Nübel for a cut-price

As reported by Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport on Twitter, Bayern Munich have acquiesced, and are willing to sell Nübel this summer for a price in the region of €20m. I think many will find this price to be low for a player who has performed rather well for a reputable continental level team but at this point Bayern may just have to cut their losses and at least accept the profit they are making on him since he was acquired on a free transfer in the first place.

TSG Hoffenheim

One day, two matches, a full programme

A day full of TSG highlights: TSG Hoffenheim invite you to the big season opening event on (Saturday) 10 August. Fans and friends of TSG will not be the only ones dropping by, with Barcelona and Fulham set to pay a visit too. The TSG women will contest a friendly against their Barcelona counterparts at 11:30 CEST. The Champions League winners from Catalonia are the ultimate acid test for new TSG coach Theodoros Dedes’ team. “Barcelona are an opponent that will push us to our limits. On the other hand, it is a good opportunity for us to show which level our team has. Everyone knows what class Barcelona possess, which is why we are really looking forward to this highlight in pre-season,” Dedes said.

Final tune-up away to Brentford

London, Friday evening, floodlights – what better dress rehearsal for the Wolves ahead of the new season? VfL are taking on Brentford at 20.45 CEST at the Gtech Community Stadium, which has not long been hosting Premier League football.

SV Werder Bremen

“I’d rather stay somewhere longer and try and build something”

After a difficult second half of 2023/24 in which he faced several setbacks, Niclas Stark has got back to full fitness for pre-season and hasn’t missed a single session nor a minute of Werder’s friendlies. This is a stark contrast to last season, during which he played the fewest minutes of any season of his career barring his first-ever campaign in professional football. The 29-year-old spoke to WERDER.DE about this unusual experience, the current stage at which the Green-Whites find themselves and an upcoming milestone.

Transfer helper? Robert Lewandowski is trying to convince Joshua Kimmich to move from Bayern Munich to FC Barc…

FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski is apparently taking matters into his own hands as he tries to sway Kimmich to move to Barcelona. “I would say to Joshua Kimmich that coming to Barcelona is worth it”, Lewandowski said to Tomas Wlodarczyk (as captured by Tz). “The environment here is different than in Bavaria. They are two big clubs, but everything is different. Of course the daily life, the language, the experience, the challenges…everything”.

adidas and Union present the jerseys for the 2024/25 season

The red home shirt, which features striking white accents, is embossed with the Berlin bear as a vertically repeating motif, while the black and grey away version picks up on the iconic pattern of the TV tower’s sphere. The BERLIN lettering adorns the chest of both, with the TV tower, one of the capital’s most striking landmarks, also forming the “I”.

Andrej Kramarić: “I was close to Bayern Munich three times”

It is true that he almost made the move to Bayern Munich, but not just once…or even twice. Kramarić was close to a deal with the Bavarians on three separate occasions.
