VfB Stuttgart trailed TSG Hoffenheim from the 44th minute until virtually the last kick of the game, when Ermedin Demirovic’s late effort salvaged a 1-1 draw.

Head coach Ole Werner answered questions from the media following today’s final training session ahead of the home game against SC Freiburg (Saturday, 5th September, 15:30 CEST).

SV Werder Bremen fell short of securing their first home win of the campaign on Saturday afternoon after suffering a 1-0 defeat to SC Freiburg. Despite creating a number of promising chances such as a volley effort from Agu early on (17’), the Green-Whites were unable to get the ball over the line against a strong visiting side. Ritsu Doan put the game to bed for Freiburg in the 75th minute, rubbing salt in the wound of head coach Ole Werner’s side, who have so far been unable to find the back of the net in any of their three home games this season.

Declan Rice has been the hottest transfer target for the midfield role, but Bayern will face stiff competition from Arsenal FC, who are also trying to sign the West Ham United skipper this summer. As for the striker, Randal Kolo Muani and Dušan Vlahović are both realistic options, but nothing is anywhere near concrete yet.
