Start to training week watched by fans
Following eight victories in the first eight competitive games of the new year, the Black & Yellows and their fans are riding high. You could sense that throughout the training session in Dortmund-Brackel on Tuesday afternoon. Having completed some warm-up exercises and a passing drill, the 11 starters from the weekend turned their focus to the fans and their autograph requests, while the rest of the squad took part in a match scenario with two goals. The good news: Mateu Morey worked with the ball and completed the passing drills along with his team-mates.
Paris Brunner heads the U19s into the play-offs
The team – which Tullberg had described as having “special character” at his pre-match press conference – once again showcased their heart and passion at the Österbro Stadium in Copenhagen. They had been written off by the halfway point of the group stages – following a 2-0 loss to Copenhagen, a 3-2 defeat at Manchester City and a 1-1 draw away to Sevilla – but they fought back and, along with Eintracht Frankfurt, became one of only two German clubs to progress through the group in this elite competition. “I’m very happy, the boys earned this,” said a beaming Mike Tullberg after the final whistle.

The Black & Yellow schedule for November
Wednesday 2 November (21:00 CET): FC Copenhagen vs. BVB
The final UEFA Champions League group match is coming up. But the matchday will not have any implications on the final positions in Group G, with everything already set in stone. Since the home game against Manchester City last week (0-0), it has been confirmed that BVB will go into the last 16 as group runners-up. The Black & Yellows won the reverse fixture against Copenhagen 3-0.
U19s set for “final” in the UEFA Youth League
“We’ve worked hard to get ourselves into this position and now have it in our own hands,” said head coach Mike Tullberg. Manchester City, who have 11 points, have already qualified for the last 16 as group winners; Copenhagen are currently second (seven points) and BVB are third (five points).
Reus to miss out on Copenhagen trip, but could return against Bochum
“Marco completed almost the entire training session with us yesterday,” said Terzic. It “just wasn’t quite enough” for him to be included in the squad for the Copenhagen game, but the timetable for him and Guerreiro is clear: “We have decided that both of them will train in Dortmund today and tomorrow, with the aim of having them both ready for action on Saturday.”
Sustainability report: Borussia unites, Borussia gets to work
Borussia Dortmund consider the DFL Licensing Regulations, which were adopted in May 2022 and in which sustainability was firmly anchored as an essential component, as not just an obligation, but also a great opportunity.
