The VfL Wolfsburg players completed a morning training session at the VfL Center before heading to Braunschweig-Wolfsburg airport, where they departed for their training camp in Portugal at 14:45 CET.
Head coach Niko Kovac’s charges will stay in Almancil on the Portuguese Algarve until 13 January to continue their preparations for the resumption of the 2022/23 season. A total of 29 players will take part at the camp, alongside the coaching and backroom staff.
The Green-and-Whites will play their first game of 2023 on Friday 6 January when they take on fellow Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim at their training complex (kick-off 15:30 CET). Wölfe TV will broadcast the game live.
