Serious knee injury

Bartosz Bialek and VfL Wolfsburg have been dealt a major blow after the 22-year-old Polish striker suffered another serious knee injury in training, ruling him out for the long term. “We’re very sorry that Bartosz has suffered another setback,” said Peter Christiansen, managing director for sport at VfL Wolfsburg. “He’ll have our full support during his recovery in the coming weeks and months, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that he overcomes this difficult period as well as possible.”

Bialek has only just returned to the Wolves after a loan spell with KAS Eupen. The attacker has made 36 competitive appearances for VfL to date, scoring two goals. We wish Bartosz all the best and a smooth recovery!
