Derry Scherhant also enjoyed the second round of games during this international break. Our youngster, who made his Germany debut for the U20s in England last week, set up a goal in the 1-1 draw against Italy U20s this time around. “I was pleased to come on at half time and to get more minutes than I did against England,” said our attacker. “Unfortunately, these were the last games for the U20s this season. I will give my all to try and be called up to the U21s next year.”

Lukébakio against Germany

Stevan Jovetić has also been away with Montenegro. After starting with a 1-0 win in Bulgaria, they lost 2-0 against Serbia – he started both games. All three Herthaner will now head back to the capital.

Jessic Ngankam and Dodi Lukébakio still have one game to play during the international break. Ngankam and Germany U21s play Romania away from home tonight (28/3, 18:00 CEST), while Lukébakio is already in Germany to play Hansi Flick’s side (28/3, 20:45 CEST).
