Once again VfL Bochum will hold their summer training camp in the holiday region Kronplatz in South Tyrol. As at their first time in the previous year the pre-season for the 2022/23 campaign is also going to kick-off in the Windschar Hotel in Gais. The summer training camp will take place from 10th to 17th July.

Like in last year’s summer pre-season, in any case two practice matches are going to be scheduled. The icing on the cake in this summer is the VfL-FUSSBALLSCHULE under the direction of Dariusz that will also stopp off in South Tyrol. The training sessions will take place on the athletics field in Uttenheim, a district of the borough of Gais, only two kilometres away from the sports facilities in Gais.

In case fans or media representatives would like to receive further information on possibilities of accomodation please contact Silvia Leitner (e-mail: [email protected]; phone: +39 0474 539420) from the local tourism organisation.

Ahead of the trip VfL supporters can also get in touch with our fans‘ representative (mail to fanbeauftragter@vfl-bochum.de) for the club to get an overview of how many lads will be there, in order to plan events, excursions or the like.

“We learned only positive feedback last year, discovered top conditions and are looking forward to a reunion in and with Gais. That is why we‘ve even extended our offer for VfL fans and families by the addition of the VfL-FUSSBALLLSCHULE“, says Christoph Wortmann, member of the VfL board and director marketing & sales.

“The training camp of VfL Bochum 1848 is a true highlight and is going to be a future highlight in our summer season. Therefore, we are delighted that we bid VfL welcome to the training ground in Gais this summer and act as host of the team in Bruneck in the upcoming years“, president of the holiday region Martin Huber and director of tourism Alfred Unterkircher point out.
