VfL Bochum 1848 is getting a new kit supplier: Mizuno, the well-established Japanese company, will be equipping all the Blue and Whites’ teams with technically sophisticated functional clothing from the 2022/23 season onwards. Not only does Mizuno have a long tradition of developing and marketing products for many sports, the company, which was founded in Osaka in 1906, has also had professional expertise in football since the 1950s.
“Mizuno has a long tradition as an innovative player in a variety of sports,” said Ilja Kaenzig, spokesman for the management of VfL Bochum 1848. “We are looking forward to having Mizuno on our side as a new premium partner who, thanks to its innovative technical products, will help our teams deliver the best possible performance.”

Mizuno was founded in 1906 by the brothers Rihachi and Rizo Mizuno. The grandson of company founder Rihachi, Akito Mizuno, is now president of the Mizuno Corporation.
