Union to play at GG8-Youngster Cup
Like last year’s tournament, Saturday’s round of games will be played at the home of FSV Lückenwalde at the Werner-Seelenbinder-Stadion. On Sunday, the players take to the field at the home of Union at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

“I will always look back on my time at Union with incredibly fond memories. What we have achieved together over the last few years will always fill me with a great deal of pride, and that is why I would like to expressly thank my team-mates, the coaching and support team, all fans, staff and those responsible for the past two years,” said the goalkeeper on his farewell.

Fun and competition for club partners
It was RTC Spedition und Logistik GmbH who took the trophy after an exciting final against Ahlberg Metaltechnik. It’s the second time in successive years RTC have won the trophy. Freshfoodz GmbH came third, while Aroundtown were fourth.
Defender Timo Baumgartl to stay at Union
Timo can continue to count on Union’s support through his recovery.

Aroundtown stays on board
After three years on the chest, Aroundtown will now become sleeve partners in the Europa League and the DFB-Pokal with the start of the 2022/2023 season. Supporting the Eisern’s young talent also remains a declared goal of the partnership. Both the U19 and U17s of 1. FC Union Berlin will continue to wear the well-known Aroundtown lettering on their jerseys.
Lennart Grill signs on loan
“I’m really looking forward to the transfer to Berlin,” said Grill about his new challenge. “For me, it doesn’t just mean playing for a special club. It’s also about constantly improving, integrating myself into the team quickly and doing my part for a successful season.”
