The away jersey comes in sand colour and is decorated with the classic three stripes of manufacturer Adidas. The collar and sleeves are white with elasticated cuffs, featuring the Union lettering. Union used the opportunity to go head-to-head with an in-form, promoted side on Saturday. Urs Fischer’s team started brightly at Magdeburg with two goals in eight minutes. Urs Fischer’s team suffered a first loss of the summer on Wednesday night against 2.Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig. Immanuel Pherai scored a goal against the run of play in the 55th minute for the home side to take the win, despite the Köpenick club creating a number of clear goalscoring chances. Striker Jordan Siebatcheu made his debut for Union following his switch from Young Boys Bern in the wake of Taiwo Awoniyi’s departure to Nottingham Forest. The American-born striker immediately showed his danger but was unlucky not to open his account in the first half. After wins at Viktoria Berlin and Magdeburg, there were opportunities for rotation and game time – goalkeeper Lennart Grill was the only player to complete the full 90.
