Alexander Nübel has been hugely impressive in the past few weeks in goal for S04. In an interview with schalke04.de, the keeper discussed the current mood in camp, the match versus FC Augsburg and his new role.
The 25-year-old, who moved to Augsburg from FC Twente in the Netherlands ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, celebrated his 50th Bundesliga appearance in an FCA shirt this season. The right-footer, who has already played in several positions this term, has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 59 games.

Mainz had to settle for a goalless draw in their first home game of the season against FC Union on Sunday afternoon. It was a cagey affair in the first half and both sides failed to create anything clear-cut. However, the break seemed to breathe new life into the game and both teams went up a gear. Although the Zerofivers created the better chances, it was a still well-earned point in the soaring summer heat.
