Despite only being 19 years old, Tom Bischof has already gained plenty of experience in football. The TSG Hoffenheim player made his Bundesliga debut in March 2022 at the age of 16 and has been training with the Bundesliga team for three years. The midfielder, who has been at TSG since 2015, has now received his greatest individual honour: Bischof was awarded the Fritz Walter Gold Medal by the German Football Association for being the best young player born in 2005.
For the first time this season, SV Werder are preparing for action in the prime time Saturday evening slot in the Bundesliga, with the floodlights set to light up the Weserstadion. Head coach Ole Werner’s side welcome reigning German champions Bayer Leverkusen on 26/10/24 (kick-off 18:30 CEST). In his press conference ahead of the clash, Werner spoke about the special circumstances of the meeting and whether his team can translate their away form onto a match in front of the home fans against Xabi Alonso’s high-quality side.
“Joshua Kimmich’s best position is at right back. I think the John Stones role at Manchester City is tailor-made for Kimmich, but then again it’s hard to play better or even as good as (John) Stones in that role anyway,” Hamann told Casinos En Ligne (as made available to Bavarian Football Works). “Kimmich would be able to play the No. 8 role too and replace or rotate with (İlkay) Gündoğan. It won’t be easy for Kimmich to play that Gündoğan role because he’s not done it before, but Manchester City has so much of the ball, I can see he can play well.

“Everyone’s been giving their all in training,” said FCA head coach Jess Thorup after an intensive week of preparations. Tactics were of course on the agenda, but the team and coaching staff’s main focus was to become mentally ready. At the press conference ahead of the game against BVB, Thorup looked back to last season, when FCA were considered the league’s ‘comeback kings’. “We always kept believing no matter what.
