What does FC Augsburg stand for? Around 4,000 members of the FCA family spent the preceding months and years trying to answer this question, and from it created FC Augsburg’s new brand, based on guiding principles and intrinsic values: the 07-Werte. This new brand also included a new visual style, which was clearly based on the club colours and had a uniquely developed pattern with a distinctive design.

After the home and third kits had already been revealed at the end of July, the new away kit, which was first presented at the Augsburger Friedensfest on the anniversary of FC Augsburg’s founding, completed the collection of jerseys from our new supplier Mizuno.

After an admittedly rather short break over Christmas, the Wolves returned to the training pitch at the VfL-Center on Thursday just eight days after their last competitive game of the year against Bayern Munich. Head coach Niko Kovac’s charges were put through their paces for almost two hours, despite the biting cold wind that accompanied them.

”It’s good to win games. But looking at the way the match went today, there were a few things that malfunctioned. It was clear that we still have a few things to work on. We had to defend a lot of counter-attacks and dangerous set-pieces. It’s extremely important that we find our rhythm again quickly. There were a few things that left us unhappy, we’ll have to make big improvements in these areas.”

Die Schwarzgelben sporting director Sebastian Kehl recently told Sky Sports Deutschland (via @iMiaSanMia) that he is unsure if Tuchel’s Bayern is any different to Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern. “I don’t know if Bayern will be better on Saturday with Thomas Tuchel than they were under Julian Nagelsmann,” Kehl opined. “I don’t think this will have a big effect on the game because many international players were away and there weren’t many training sessions.”
