Head coach Ole Werner: “All in all, I have to give my team a huge compliment. We were without some players, which is not easy to make up for, but the boys didn’t let that show and played at the same level as the opposition for long periods. Of course, there are things to be annoyed about, such as the build up to their first goal, or the fact that we didn’t calm the game down after the equaliser. But overall, we played a good game away from home and worked hard for a point, which we deserved.”

Marvin Ducksch: “It was a very intense game from the very first minutes. In the first half, both teams had huge chances, and we could have taken the lead. When you come back twice in Gladbach, then you can be happy with a point. At the end we played a lot of long balls and I tried to break away. Fülle played it back really well and I hit the far corner first time, as I often do in training.”

Niclas Füllkrug: I thought we played well in the first half. We couldn’t make the most of the good chances we had in front of goal and unfortunately we conceded a goal right after the break. That’s a bit of a weakness for us at the moment, but then we came back well from that and played a good game. After we made it 1-1, there was a period when they were all over us, but we came back well in that respect too, even after the two defeats, which we probably didn’t deserve. I’m definitely pleased with the performance today.”
