Ole Werner’s injury list was rather long in the weeks before the most recent international break, but this list has since got a lot shorter, to the extent that the coach almost has his entire squad at his disposal. “We trained well during the international break and also got some boosts on the personnel front,” said a pleased Werner. “Overall, it was a good two weeks with regards to training. We now need to convert that into a good performance and result on Sunday.”

A team that possesses copious amounts of quality are coming to the wohninvest WESERSTADION this weekend in TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The Green-Whites are expecting an attacking and passionate game of football. “Both teams are known for their high lines and their pressing,” revealed Werner. “We try to implement the basics every time we play. Hoffenheim have several quality on-the-ball players who have been doing well in recent weeks.”

TSG ended a five-month winless run in their last match, which took them one place above bottom spot once again. However, the league table situation doesn’t play much of a role. “We’re not letting ourselves get blinded by the league table. Hoffenheim showed what they’re capable of against Hertha<” commented Werner. “This game isn’t any more important than our last one or our next one. Of course, the points would do us some good – but let’s take it game by game. We’re simply aiming to put in a good performance and to win.”
