Doing something together against plastic waste in the oceans – that is the goal of the global movement initiative by Union outfitter adidas and Parley For The Oceans.
Not only the professionals on the pitch, but also the youth and amateur teams in the club prove every day how keen the Union players are to run. And the iron supporters also like to run, after all, many thousands of kilometres have already been covered in the past at UNION LÄUFT around the stadium An der Alten Försterei.
Every Union member who wants to contribute to putting an end to plastic waste with their sporting activity can now register for the event in the adidas Running App on their smartphone, create an account and select “RUN FOR THE OCEANS” as the challenge. To collect as many active minutes as possible together with the Union family, simply join the group “1. FC Union Berlin”.
From the start of the Challenge on 23 May until the end on 8 June, every 10 minutes of sport will be the equivalent of one plastic bottle cleaned from beaches and islands by adidas and Parley. With this campaign, adidas and Parley want to collect up to 250,000 kg of plastic waste: let’s go Unioner!
