Over 100,000 members!

VfB Stuttgart 1893 e.V. has passed the figure of 100,000 club members, making VfB the biggest sports club in Baden-Württemberg – and the second biggest in southern Germany – by a considerable distance, as well as the eighth-largest football club nationwide. Furthermore, thanks to an additional 27,000 new members over the past year – the largest increase in the club’s 130-year history over a 12-month period – VfB are now the fourth-fastest growing club in the country, offering further proof of the Bad Cannstatt side’s unwavering popularity in recent times.

As well as 100,000 official club members, over 12,500 children and young people are members of the Fritzle Club (for ages 5–12), the Mini Club (0–4) und the VfB Youth Club (13–18).

“We’re overwhelmed, proud and utterly grateful for this level of popularity, which we’ve been enjoying for several years and which continues to grow,” said club president Claus Vogt. “Of course, our club is indebted to our Bundesliga team for their great performances on the pitch. Being a VfB member is a way of life and an attitude that unites people from very different backgrounds.”
