U17s celebrate Bundesliga win!

3:1 win! U17 is in the semi-finals of the German championship!

It’s already done one game day before the end of the regular season. After their win in front of their home crowd against Viktoria Berlin, our B juniors were able to celebrate the championship in the Junior Bundesliga North/Northeast season.

Faik Sakar, Lionel Voufack and Maddox Stadel scored for a 3-1 home win and thus secured the crucial three points for the conference championship.

Head coach Philipp Seidler’s team performed convincingly throughout the season, with strength and team unity to secure their place at the top.

The U17s will continue with this – in the semi-finals of the German championship. The opponent will be the runner-up from the West division. Borussia Dortmund occupy this place, but change is still possible. Bayer 04 Leverkusen, currently top, could still finish second.

“I’m very proud of my team! The boys finally were finally rewarded for their hard work over the entire season. We all worked very well – coaches, staff and the boys – and did everything we could to be in the semi-finals. We want to win our last league game against Cottbus and then go into the semi-finals well prepared.”
“We’re a team unit and have many different goalscorers. That’s the key to our success. As a coach it’s sometimes not easy to decide who should play (laughs). We’re looking forward to the tasks ahead and are looking forward to the next games.”
