• “We started really well and played with some real power in the final third. We were really clinical and scored some lovely goals. The scoreline is pretty heavy, but Freiburg have a great team and really tested us. It was a fantastic semi-final. We’re now in the final and we obviously want to win it and defend our title.”
   

Dani Olmo

• “I think my goal to make it 1-0 was only my second headed goal in my career. It was a lovely cross by Halste! We played well and controlled the game. We had to focus on defending after the red card. We’re happy to be going back to Berlin – that’s been our target since the start of the season.”

• “It’s rare that a player that doesn’t score in a five-goal win is named Man of the Match, but I’m still pleased to receive the award. A number of players would have deserved it because we played really well, especially in the first half. We showed the quality we have in our squad and that we can play some really nice football. It was a thoroughly deserved win. We’re now excited for our fourth trip to Berlin. It’s always fun to play there, especially if you win the cup!”
   

Dominik Szoboszlai

• “It’s never easy to play away against such a good team. We’ve shown what we’re capable of as a team and brought that onto the pitch. We’re really pleased to be back in the final and will do everything we can to defend out title. But before that we have an important Bundesliga game on Saturday, back in this stadium again. Benjamin Henrichs

• “It’s my third season here and for the third time, we’ve reached the final; it’s becoming our competition! It’s important to win the final now. That’s our aim and given how we played today, that’s our benchmark. We haven’t been clinical enough in recent weeks, both in creating and finishing chances. We did that well today, especially in the first half. Obviously I’m really pleased to have scored, but what’s more important is how we created the goal. It was a well-played goal and overall a good performance.”
   

Willi Orbán

• “Our match plan went really well. We found the spaces and were accurate with our passing and shooting. The first half was perhaps our best of the season. We really deserved the win and how we performed out there was really cool. Now we can look forward to being in the final again. We’ll enjoy the evening but then our focus switches straight back to the Bundesliga and the next game against Freiburg. We’ll need to do carry out the things that worked well tonight once again on Saturday. Why can’t we repeat it at the weekend?”
