It was a special moment when our number 10 was substituted onto the field against SC Freiburg on matchday 31. Not only did the super Swede reach this incredible landmark of 300 appearances, he also helped his teammates hold on for the 1-0 win.

He is the second Leipzig player to reach this feat along with Yussuf Poulsen, who has featured 353 times for the club.

Emil Forsberg’s debut came in a 2-1 defeat to Aue on 6th February 2015. 3,007 days and 299 games later, the Swede can look back with pride on his glittering Leipzig career. He has earned promotion to the Bundesliga, qualified for the Champions League on four occasions (including a semi-final appearance in 2020) and won the 2022 DFB-Pokal.
