Norwich City only just missed out on promotion back to the Premier League last season. The club from the east of England were edged out by Leeds United (0-0, 4-0) in the play-offs – with a goal from former Hoffenheim player Georginio Rutter – and the German-American coach David Wagner was subsequently sacked. Now the “Canaries”, as the club is known because of their yellow and green colours, are making a new attempt to get back into the Premier League under the stewardship of 35-year-old Danish coach Johannes Thorup.
The clash with TSG Hoffenheim will take place at the St. Johann sports ground, where TSG played against Feyenoord during their training camp in Kitzbühel last year. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 CEST on 30 July. Fan information regarding the match will be announced in the coming weeks.
