“Fisnik is a talented striker who has repeatedly demonstrated his potential with us in recent years. However, due to the competitive situation in our Bundesliga squad, we decided last summer to loan him to Austria Vienna, a club with a long tradition in Austria, so that Fisnik could gain as much match practice as possible at the highest possible level,” says Pirmin Schwegler, head of professional football at Hoffenheim. After an extremely positive start in Vienna, with lots of appearances and good performances, Asllani then had to take a break for a few weeks due to a tendon injury, meaning that he was ultimately unable to get the playing time everyone had hoped for. “Therefore, we have now decided together with him to seek another loan and are firmly convinced that we have found a very good solution for everyone involved with SV Elversberg. We are confident that Fisnik will be able to take the next steps in his development there and then hit the ground running once he returns from his loan spell with us,” added Schwegler.
Asllani joined the TSG academy from Union Berlin in the summer of 2020 and made his Bundesliga debut for the club in November 2021, making ten appearances for Hoffenheim to date. The 21-year-old striker has made 53 appearances for the TSG reserves, scoring 17 goals and providing nine assists. Last season, the striker made 16 appearances in the Austrian top tier, three in the Europa League play-offs and two in the ÖFB Cup during his loan spell at Austria Vienna. Asllani scored a total of five goals and notched up an assist.
