The 2024 European Championships in Germany start on Friday (21:00 CEST). The anticipation in Germany is palpable – and two TSG players will be there for the opening game: Oliver Baumann and Maximilian Beier are in the Germany national team squad for EURO 2024 and could feature in the opening match against Scotland.
Attila Szalai will also be playing in the same group with Hungary. The central defender will kick off the tournament against Switzerland on Saturday (15:00 CEST). Directly afterwards, Andrej Kramarić and the Croatia national team will face Spain at 18:00 CEST in a high-quality Group B.
Wout Weghorst, who was in very prolific form in the preparation period with two goals, will face Poland with the Netherlands at 15:00 CEST on Sunday. Jacob Bruun Larsen and the Danish team will then face Slovenia at 18:00 CEST.
Florian Grillitsch and Austria are in the same group as the Netherlands but will not play for the first time until Monday evening at 21:00 CEST, when they face tournament favourites France. David Jurásek will round off the Matchday 1 action in Czechia’s game against Portugal on Tuesday at 21:00 CEST.
