A day full of TSG highlights: TSG Hoffenheim invite you to the big season opening event on (Saturday) 10 August. Fans and friends of TSG will not be the only ones dropping by, with Barcelona and Fulham set to pay a visit too. The TSG women will contest a friendly against their Barcelona counterparts at 11:30 CEST. The Champions League winners from Catalonia are the ultimate acid test for new TSG coach Theodoros Dedes’ team. “Barcelona are an opponent that will push us to our limits. On the other hand, it is a good opportunity for us to show which level our team has. Everyone knows what class Barcelona possess, which is why we are really looking forward to this highlight in pre-season,” Dedes said.

The PreZero Arena will open its doors one hour prior to kick-off, at 10:30 CEST. Following the final whistle in the women’s friendly, the supporting programme will start on the event mile around the stadium. There will be various activity stands set up until 16:00 CEST, and food and drinks will of course be provided too. In addition, different clubs from the region will introduce themselves, while additional entertainment will be provided on stage.

The TSG men’s match will then kick off at 17:00 CEST. Coach Pellegrino Matarazzo’s charges will go up against Fulham. The friendly against the Premier League outfit will be the final match of pre-season, before the opening competitive game takes place on 16 August (18:30 CEST). TSG will pay a visit to Würzburger Kickers in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. “For us, it will be an acid test prior to the start of the new season. Fulham showed last season that they can also frustrate the big teams in the Premier League. We’re looking forward to the match and to learning many things,” said Pellegrino Matarazzo.

Another major highlight awaits the TSG fans at 19:45 CEST: Andrej Kramarić, Oliver Baumann & Co. will be signing autographs and fulfilling selfie requests at the entrances to the stands. Following the final whistle in the friendly, the band “Me and the Heat” will play on the Event Mile up until 23:00 CEST.

Match coverage for the visually impaired will be provided for both friendlies at the PreZero Arena. Special buses will be in operation on Saturday to ensure the spectators get to the PreZero Arena as quickly as possible. You will find the SWEG timetable here. In addition, the car parks will be available as per usual. All the information on that can be found here. Those who have bought a ticket for the season opening event can attend both games. A separate ticket is not required to watch the other match.

Be there for the big highlight of pre-season.
