It was a close encounter, but ultimately Florian Grillitsch and Austria gained the upper hand and beat Wout Weghorst and the Netherlands 3-2 in a spectacular match. However, both teams have reached the round of 16: Austria even managed to top the group, while the Netherlands went through as one of the best third-placed teams. Both Grillitsch and Weghorst notched an assist.
Jacob Bruun Larsen and the Denmark national team have also reached the last 16. A 0-0 draw against Serbia was enough for Denmark to go through to the knockout stages, where they will go up against Germany. Bruun Larsen was an unused substitute, however.
David Jurásek will be in action on Wednesday and will also be hoping for a place in the knockouts. The left-back will play for Czechia against Türkiye at 21:00 CEST.
