Transport and parking
Rail:
From the main station, take underground line 308/318 in the direction of Gerthe/Schürbankstraße, get off at the Planetarium stop. The journey time is 3 minutes. The fare is included in the admission ticket.
The Vonovia Ruhrstadion can be reached on foot from Bochum main station in approx. 20 minutes. When leaving the main station, keep to the right and follow the Ostring past the hotel high-rise (Mercure Hotel), turn right onto Castroper Straße, after the Kirmesplatz cross the next major intersection, the guest block (West) is located at the first corner of the stadium.
Please note: there are currently construction works around Castroper Straße, which make it necessary to change the route to the stadium. Please check with the police after arriving at the main station for the current status of the routing.
Directions:
From the A40, take the Stadion exit and turn left directly at the exit into the “Stadionring” multi-storey car park, which is available exclusively for away fans. The parking fee for cars is €4. Payment is cashless only. There is no parking ticket, and the process is conducted via a number plate recognition system.
Cars , minibuses and coaches:
Coaches and minibuses may park in the car park next to the multi-storey car park. The fee for this is €10.

Fan paraphernalia:
The following items are permitted in the away section at the match in Bochum:
25 small flags (maximum stick length 1.5m)
Fence banners (as long as space is available)
Double holders are generally not permitted
Stadium opening and ticket office:
The stadium will open at 13:30 CET, 120 minutes before the match kicks off.
There will be no ticket office on the day of the match.
Entrances and blocks:
Admission is exclusively via the away block entrance, as the away block is not accessible from other entrances!
Standing room block E1, seating block E2/F
Food & drink:
Payment is only possible via cashless means. Payments can be made by EC card, credit card, Apple Pay/Google Pay, among others.
Blood alcohol limit:
Persons who are obviously under the influence of alcohol or who are found to have a blood alcohol level of more than 1.6 per mille may be refused entry to the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
Bags and rucksacks:
Bags or pouches must not exceed a size of 210mm x 297mm (Din A4). There are no deposit facilities available. Rucksacks are prohibited!
Photo and video cameras:
It is permitted to bring cameras/digital cameras (up to a size of 20x12x12cm) for private use. No cameras with detachable lenses may be brought into the stadium.
Other:
Glass is prohibited in and around the stadium during VfL Bochum matches.
The wearing of “Thor Steinar” clothing and other fashion labels with a racist, xenophobic, extremist and/or discriminatory motif is not permitted in the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
