What makes you positive things will go better in the Europa League than they have in the Bundesliga recently?
“It’s a different game to the one away at Union Berlin. We will not make the same mistakes again and will be present from the beginning this time. We’re concentrating on ourselves. It’s been a few years since we’ve played in the Europa League, so we want to enjoy it. I’m delighted that I’m in Denmark but my focus is on the match.”
What does it mean for you to be back in Denmark?
“I don’t come from Herning and I don’t know the area so well, but I’m delighted to be here. It feels a little bit like coming home. There are very many green areas here, but we’re here to play football at the end of the day. Nonetheless, it is of course slightly more special than other matches.”
How do you assess the FC Midtjylland squad?
“I haven’t seen many matches recently. But I know that Dario Osorio is a fast winger from Chile. Midtjylland’s team are very good and became champions last season for a reason. I often played against Midtjylland in my youth, but that was a long time ago. So I can’t really assess them.”
