1. FC Köln have extended with Tim Lemperle until 2025.

1. FC Köln have extended the contact of Tim Lemperle. The forward will now remain with FC until 2025.

FC Managing Director, Christian Keller said: “Tim currently finds himself in a decisive phase in his development. He has a lot of talent, but at the same time has a few areas where he needs to work on to make the jump into the Bundesliga. We are really pleased that are able to follow Tim’s career in this important phase past this summer.”

Tim Lemperle said: “It was an easy decision for me because I feel good here, I feel at home with FC. The club and the coach have shown me a clear path which I want to go on here – and I want to prove that I can make that happen. Even when in summer I might have to take step away, it remains my goal to play Bundesliga football at FC.”

Tim Lemperle was born on 5th February 2002 in Frankfurt. The under-21 international has and took his first footballing steps with TuS Makkabi Frankfurt, before moving on to FSV Frankfurt and 1. FSV Mainz 05. Since summer 2017, Lemperle has been with 1. FC Köln. In May 2020, he signed his first professional deal and made his Bundesliga debut at the end of the 2019-20 campaign. Since then, Lemperle has made 21 appearances for FC in the Bundesliga and scored two goals.
