Looking for Borussia’s Player of the Month for February

Nico Elvedi, Robin Hack, Moritz Nicolas and Nathan Ngoumou have been nominated for Borussia’s Player of the Month award for February, which is sponsored by Cichon Personalmanagement. You can vote for your favourite in the FohlenApp now.

Who is going to be Borussia’s Player of the Month for February? The Foals went 1-0 up away at FC Bayern München, but ended up falling to a 3-1 defeat. Subsequently, there was the 0-0 draw against SV Darmstadt, which was followed by 2-0 defeat away at RB Leipzig. The Foals then secured their first win of the second half of the season in their last game of the month, with Gerardo Seoane’s side running out 5-2 winners against VfL Bochum.

The fans voted for a different player as man of the match in the FohlenApp in all four games. First, Nico Elvedi secured the award away at FC Bayern München with his goal that gave his side the lead. Robin Hack was then voted as man of the match against SV Darmstadt following a strong performance. Moritz Nicolas put in another impressive display in the next game away at RB Leipzig and he received the most votes. Finally, Nathan Ngoumou received the award thanks to a good performance against Vfl Bochum, which he crowned with a goal and an assist.

You can now vote for your favourite in the FohlenApp until 23:59 CET on Thursday.

Nico Elvedi: The 27-year-old has been a permanent fixture in the Foals’ starting eleven since Matchday 5. The centre-back only missed the game against VfL Bochum last weekend due to a one-game suspension for picking up five yellow cards. The Swiss stood out on Matchday 20 – not only due to his commanding defending, but also due to his goal that put his side 1-0 up away at FC Bayern München.

Robin Hack: The 25-year-old attacker was once again in good form in February. After coming on as a substitute away at FC Bayern München, Hack started the following three games. The 25-year-old was particularly influential in attack against SV Darmstadt, before he had to be replaced due to injury in the 58th minute.

Moritz Nicolas: The goalkeeper once again showed himself to be a reliable presence between the sticks for the Foals in February. The 26-year-old started all four matches and kept a clean sheet for Borussia against Darmstadt. The shotstopper also made seven saves in the 2-0 defeat to Leipzig to prevent a heavier scoreline.

Nathan Ngoumou: After Nathan Ngoumou had injected new energy into the Gladbach attack in the games against Leipzig and Darmstadt, Gerardo Seoane handed the 23-year-old a place in the starting eleven for the home game against VfL Bochum. The Frenchman repaid the faith shown in him by the head coach and made a vital contribution to the Foals’ first win of the second round of fixtures with a goal and an assist.
