#VfLinBruneck: Up Close and Personal

You have to work hard in a training camp, no question about it. And yet we are very happy that we are also close to the team here in Gais. To the fans, to the partners, to the people in the holiday region of Bruneck. The best example of this: Friday, day six of #VfLinBruneck!

Training, of course

The first order of business of the day, however: training. After all, that’s what we’re here for in the first place. Thomas Reis and his coaching team sent the boys into intensive game forms, six against six in each case. Danilo Soares, Jimmy Antwi-Adjei, Philipp Förster and Ivan Ordets had to miss out, but Saidy Janko was in the thick of things instead of just being there.

Visitors on the pitch

Christian Gartner and Martin Huber met the lads today. The mayor of Gais and the president of the tourism association respectively paid the team a visit on the green together with Hans-Peter Villis after the session. Best regards, wishes for success for the new season were all exchanged. Also hand-carved wooden clocks from the region, provided with VfL Logo. One went to Villis, one to head coach Thomas Reis. In return, however, there was also a present for Gartner and Huber, namely a brand-new VfL jersey with all the boys’ signatures. Thank you for your hospitality!

Saidy in the quick question round

Lunch. And after that? Sure, time for content. Saidy Janko was there. Our newcomer is back in the mix, which makes us very happy. In the “Sach ma schnell!” Saidy had a great time. A hail of questions in the shortest possible time, mastered with aplomb and provided interesting insights. By the way, this was not the only professional visit during the lunch break. Capitano Toto Losilla and Cristian Gamboa also dropped by. World-class performance, as always. But more about that in tomorrow’s report…

News back home..

In the afternoon we had a short look at home. First we communicated the transfer of Moritz Römling. The homegrown extended the contract anne Castroper until 2024, but will spend the coming season on loan at Rot-Weiss Essen. In addition, there was the next information on the season opening anne Castoper. This will take place the weekend after next. And, the fans will be very happy: There is also again a large autograph session.

Fan actions

The second session was tough, a good 80 minutes giving it everything. After that, it was the fans’ turn. As I said, we’re close to the action here, as befits the VfL. After training, the pros marched over to the supporters present. Big group photo with players, coaches and fans. Great thing! And even later, everyone got their money’s worth. At 7 p.m., the fan festival was held at the training ground. Even some of the pros stopped by. It was an extremely successful evening. Lots of conversations, great atmosphere – everyone in blue and white!
