VfL Bochum 1848 and Erhan Mašović have agreed on an early contract extension. The 23-year-old Serb, whose original contract was set to expire in 2023, has committed himself to another two years, until June 30, 2025. To date, Mašović has appeared in 23 competitive matches for VfL, including twelve times in the Bundesliga.
“Erhan Mašović has fully lived up to the expectations placed in him,” said Sebastian Schindzielorz, VfL’s Director of Sport. “We saw in him a player who can be used variably and who can make his mark both in defense and in midfield. He has been able to prove this in his previous seasons at VfL. In addition to his physical robustness and technical skills, his calmness on the ball is remarkable. Erhan has already developed very well with us, has proven that he can also hold his own in the Bundesliga and is ready to develop further.”
The former Serbia U21 international is delighted with the contract extension: “I am very happy that it worked out with the new contract. VfL Bochum is a great club that has given me a chance and thus brought me back to the football stage. I will do everything I can to help the team so that we can achieve our goals together,” said Erhan Mašović.
