David Čolina goes back on loan to Vejle
One-year loan deal agreed
FCA defender David Čolina was not on the plane to South Africa for the club’s training camp. Instead, the 24-year-old Croatian defender will move back on loan to Danish first-division side Vejle Boldklub, for whom he made 12 appearances for in the second half of last season. The clubs have agreed to keep the details of the one-year loan deal undisclosed.
“The last six months in Velje have been good for me. I’ve been able to get some minutes and show what I’m capable of at a good level. Another loan spell gives me the chance to build on that and to take further important steps in my career,” said Čolina, whose contract at FC Augsburg is still valid until 30th June 2027.
“After positive conversations with David, we both agreed that another year on loan at Velje would be the best possible solution for him right now. He can continue working with his former youth coach in a good league and get match practice at the highest level. We would like to wish David all the best for the coming season,” said FCA sporting director Marinko Jurendic.
