The board of SV Werder Bremen has taken an important step for the future of the Green-Whites and secured a strategic partner for the club. A regional consortium, comprising companies and private individuals with long-standing ties to Werder, is making €38 million available to the club as part of a capital injection. In return for the money, the newly-founded enterprise will receive around 18 percent in the shares in SV Werder Bremen GmbH & Co. KGaA.

Nicolai Rapp transfers to Karlsruher SC

Nicolai Rapp has left SV Werder Bremen to join second-division side Karlsruher SC. Clemens Fritz announced the 27-year-old’s departure on Monday, and both teams have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.

SV Werder Bremen will take all three points home from Munich after a hard-fought performance saw them record a 1-0 win against record champions FC Bayern München – the first time the Green-Whites had beaten the Bavarians in over 15 years!
