When asked by kicker’s Franck Linkesch (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) how the exit interview went with Kahn, Hoeneß was as honest as he could be:

Thomas Tuchel’s hiring at Bayern Munich happened because CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić had doubts about Julian Nagelsmann — and were also scared to let Tuchel sit out in the market any longer. Specifically, the duo was afraid Tuchel might jump to Juventus.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola could be reluctant to risk losing such a valuable attacking piece to his squad. However, Bayern Munich is hoping that its allure, and limited minutes behind Haaland, will entice Alvarez to ask for an exit:
