The group stages of the GG8 Youngster Cup will take place on Saturday August 7 from 11am. The first day of matches will take place at the Werner-Seelenbinder Stadion of Lückenwalde. The following day’s action, including the final and third-placed match, will be held at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. All games will last for 40 minutes.

SV Werder will travel to 1.FC Heidenheim on Sunday, 17th September at 15:30 CEST for matchday 4 of the Bundesliga season. The Green-Whites go into the game against the newly-promoted side as slight favourites – an unfamiliar prospect given that this is only Werder’s second season back in the top flight. Heidenheim’s last few games, as well as previous matches between the two sides, have shown how difficult it is to play against them at home.

Sebastian Hoeneß spoke ahead of the DFB Cup second-round tie against 1. FC Union Berlin on Tuesday (kick-off at 18:00). All of the tickets in the home sections of the MHPArena have been sold, with around 1,500 away fans also expected to make the journey.
