Per Spanish publication Relevo, Julian Nagelsmann has been on Florentino Perez’s radar since forever. This isn’t actually speculation — Nagelsmann himself revealed that he turned down a move to the Spanish capital back in 2018. At the time, the then-RB Leipzig manager felt that he wasn’t ready for such a huge step up. Now, with the experience at Bayern Munich under his belt, he may feel he’s ready to take up another top job.
However, he wasn’t the only player to come away from Thursday night full of confidence; this victory gave a boost to the entire team: “The win was important in view of both the upcoming test in Mainz and the weeks to come,” said Gregoritsch. Maximilian Eggestein said: “Europa League nights like these give you a spring in your step.” SCF’s opponents on Saturday have improved after a difficult start to the season; Mainz are unbeaten in four games and have been led by a new coach for the past three games. Since Jan Siewert took over from Bo Svensson, he has picked up five points from three games. However, the 05ers are still sitting in 16th position in the standings.
“TSG has established itself both domestically and internationally as a pioneer of innovative and sustainable transformation. In line with our ‘TSG on the move’ initiative, we are keen to shoulder social responsibility and take a stand on various issues. We are convinced that by placing greater emphasis on the topics of diversity, equal rights and the empowerment of women, we are providing significant momentum to move TSG forward,” says Prof Dr Jan Mayer, who, as managing director of TSG Hoffenheim, is primarily responsible for corporate development. “Just like in football, it’s important to be able to count on strong team members and trusting collaboration off the pitch,” emphasises Mayer.
