Together for Bremen: WFB and Werder in Vietnam

See you again soon, Vietnam! Werder’s first delegation trip to Hanoi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City has now come to an end, and the itinerary was certainly jam-packed with activities. The Green-Whites received significant support from Economic Development Agency for Bremen (WFB), whose Vietnam-based Bremen Invest office helped to promote and organise numerous components of the trip.

Jensen: “The best feeling in the world!”

Elvis Rexhbecaj: “It was a very strong performance from us. We started well and kept that up after half time. In the end, it was admittedly quite close, but we generally didn’t concede a lot of chances, so we ultimately deserved to win. We’re now unbeaten in six games. First, we’ll enjoy this evening and then from tomorrow we’ll be fully focused on Bremen!”

The organising team, Fan-Projekt Dortmund e.V., will of course provide not only the obligatory “South Stand feeling”, but will also team up with our long-standing partner, Brinkhoff’s Brewery, to set up an enticing food and drinks area. A visit to Hoeschpark on Sunday – perhaps combined with a walk around Borsiglatz, which is in the immediate vicinity – should be worth it for every BVB fan and whet the appetite for a great 2023/24 season. The tournament starts at 11:00 CET.

Goalless draw in friendly against Unterhaching

In freezing conditions, FCA head coach Jess Thorup made eleven changes to his starting line-up for the friendly against the third-division side. FCA threatened in front of goal for the first time in the first half through Nathanaël Mbuku, whose right-footed effort hit the crossbar (25’). Mert Kömür had another chance to put his side ahead around ten minutes before the interval, but Unterhaching’s goalkeeper was able to deny him (37’).
