A short interview with our midfielder during the winter training camp
VfB legend Cacau has been supporting a social project for children and young people near his home city of Sao Paulo for several years. The VfB brand ambassador was in Brazil for the initiative’s Christmas party, with plenty of Stuttgart-themed presents in tow.
“You can’t always get what you want out of a draw,” said Oliver Ruhnert, Union’s director of professional football. “So it’s Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, who we already played in the group phase, and are the only team to have won a match at the Alte Försterei for a long time. For me it was then a question of time until I accepted. Now I’m very happy that everything worked out so quickly.”

It remains to be seen whether he will be fit in time for the first competitive match of the year against VfL Bochum (14th January).
Too often, however, Gnabry has not been able to provide that boost — at least in the eyes of the Bayern Munich bosses. Because of that, the talented attacker could be playing his final months at the Allianz Arena.
