FCA make changes among coaching and backroom staff

Following assistant coach Jonas Scheuermann’s move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League, head coach Jess Thorup will now be supported by assistants Jacob Friis and Lars Knudsen. While Friis already worked alongside Thorup last season, previous set-piece coach Knudsen’s responsibilities have now been expanded and his contract extended. Set-piece specialist Lars Knudsen, who was part of Denmark’s coaching setup for EURO 2024, will continue to take care of training for set plays.

Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel “happy”, but sees no reason for euphoria after Schalke 04 shellacking

At home to Kiel in season opener

The fixture schedule for the 2024/25 Bundesliga season has been confirmed: TSG Hoffenheim will host promoted Holstein Kiel on Matchday 1. The match will be played on 24 or 25 August. The game at the PreZero Arena will be the first Bundesliga fixture in Kiel’s history. There will also be a reunion with Kiel coach Marcel Rapp, who worked in Hoffenheim from 2013 to 2021.

Season opener away in Augsburg

The Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) announced the fixtures for the 2024/25 Bundesliga season on Thursday afternoon. SV Werder Bremen will open the season away at FC Augsburg on the weekend of 23rd to 25th August. The Green-Whites will play their first home game against Borussia Dortmund on the weekend of 30th August to 1st September.

FCA sign forward Yusuf Kabadayi

Born in Munich, Kabadayi can operate both as a winger and a central striker. The 20-year-old came through all of FC Bayern’s youth teams, including for their second side in the Regionalliga, where he netted 13 times and provided four assists in 38 matches. Kabadayi, who also has Turkish citizenship, has been a Germany youth international since 2021, having featured a total of 18 times for their U18, U19 and U20 sides.

SC to open 2024/25 season against Stuttgart

SC have a tough start to the season ahead of them, with head coach Julian Schuster’s side travelling to face Bayern the following week (30.08-01.09). The first international break of the season will then follow, before SC return to Bundesliga action at home against VfL Bochum on the weekend of 13th to 15th September.

For this reason, we have jointly made the decision to loan Bamba out to the ambitious second-division club Karlsruher SC for the upcoming season so that he can take the next step in his career there. We’re certain that this loan will definitely pay off both for Bamba and for us as a club.”
