Premier League side Tottenham will name Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou their new manager ‘as early as next week’, according to reports.
The former Australia international was named manager of the year at the PFA Scotland Awards last month after guiding Celtic to back-to-back top-flight titles as they chase a domestic treble.
Celtic take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden Park on Saturday in the Scottish Cup final with The Sun claiming that Postecoglou ‘could be confirmed as Tottenham’s new manager as early as next week’.
The Scottish champions are ‘resigned to losing’ their manager .
Tottenham ‘hope to agree the fine details of the deal as soon as that is out of the way’ with The Sun adding that Postecoglou is ‘keen to test himself in the Premier League’.
West Ham boss David Moyes is ‘a likely front-runner’ to replace Postecoglou at Celtic with the Scottish giants drawing up a shortlist of potential new managers.
Tottenham have had a disappointing season with Spurs finishing eighth, outside the European places, and again failing to win any silverware.
Antonio Conte was sacked at the end of March and replaced temporarily by Cristian Stellini – but Conte’s former assistant was sacked too and Ryan Mason took charge until the end of the season.

“So I think we need to go away from that, start like we did with Pochettino, start afresh. Start with someone like Graham Potter or Brendan Rodgers or the Celtic manager, Postecoglou.
