Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to join Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the race for Barcelona winger Ansu Fati.

The 20-year-old’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is believed to have given the ‘green light’ for a possible move away from the Camp Nou this summer.

However, despite the three clubs allegedly ‘meeting with Fati’s entourage,’ his priority is to ideally stay at Barca for another season.

Fati made his Catalans debut aged just 16 and has regularly been touted to become one of the world’s best in the future.

Overall, in 99 appearances for Barca across all competitions, the Spaniard has scored 26 goals and made nine assists in total.

However,  injury issues have stunted the attacker’s development and he has struggled for consistent minutes under Xavi this term, after falling behind the likes of Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele in the pecking order.

However, Fati is still a youngster, so has plenty of time to live up to his sky-high potential.

As previously noted by Football365, , with a bid of £90m likely required to secure his services.

However, according to reports coming out of Spain, Tottenham could now look to scupper their plans.

Spurs seem to have lacked a cutting edge in attack this season, despite Harry Kane once again being in excellent goal-scoring form.

With that in mind, a move for Fati could prove to be a smart bit of business.

Indeed, Heung-min Son has been a shadow of his former self this term, while summer signing Richarlison has failed to live up to his £60m price tag so far.

Dejan Kulusevski has put in some solid performances but has still only scored 2 Premier League goals.

If they want to improve on that next season, Spurs will need to make new quality additions and obviously, find a new manager.

The current favourites to land the role are recently sacked Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, ex-Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea target Julian Nagelsmann and Burnley head coach Vincent Kompany.

There are certainly going to be a lot of changes behind the scenes at Tottenham this summer, so it will be interesting to see how they fare next term.
