Paul Scholes has selected the two sides he wants to see Man Utd play in the Europa League quarter-finals after they beat Real Betis over two legs.
Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game on Thursday as with Erik ten Hag’s side progressing 5-1 on aggregate.
It was a very comfortable tie for Man Utd and Scholes is now hoping that his former side can draw one of the big Italian giants in the next round.
“I always want the big games, I love those big games at Old Trafford,” Scholes told BT Sport.
“I know it’s not quite Champions League when you are in Europa League but the history of Juventus there, what a game that could be.
“I know both teams probably aren’t at the level they used to be but they seem like they are on their way back. So Juventus for me, possibly Roma.”
Facundo Pellistri made his first Man Utd start in their victory over Betis on Thursday and put in a strong performance as Ten Hag placed faith in him.
The Uruguay international joined the Red Devils in 2020 but only made his Man Utd debut in January after two loan spells at Spanish side Alaves.
And Scholes liked what he saw from Pellistri, the Man Utd legend added: “He is going to be an asset. With [Alejandro] Garnacho being out, Antony is ill as well, he will be a real asset.
“Not just from the bench but starting games too. It was a tough European away game, especially away in Spain. So for his first full start, I thought he did very well.
“He has not played a lot of football, but I thought he was quite lively going down the outside. He put a couple of crosses in early on that he possibly over-hit, but the whole team was like that, to be fair. But I thought he was a real threat.
“He was the one looking to create and the one looking to be dangerous. He is very direct and I don’t think we will see any fancy stuff from him.
“He will be direct, go towards goal, try and cross the balls for forwards in the box and get shots at goal. I thought, overall, he was just alright.”
