Tottenham striker Harry Kane will reportedly be Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag’s top ‘priority’ in the summer transfer window.

Kane is out of contract at the end of next season, sparking rumours of an exit this summer.

The England captain is yet to win a single trophy in his career, which is a huge shame for a player of his ability and goalscoring record.

German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing the 29-year-old having sold Robert Lewandowski last summer.

A move to Munich would definitely end Kane’s wait for a trophy, and if it doesn’t, he is cursed.

However, Tottenham’s Premier League rivals Man Utd are also being linked with the striker.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new no. 9 and bringing one in at the end of the season will surely be a priority for Ten Hag.

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos are also being strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Kane would be a very good signing for Man Utd given his experience in the Premier League.

According to The Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg, the summer signing of Kane is a priority for Man Utd.

The report also states that Chelsea’s Mason Mount is a target due to Borussia Dortmund’s steep valuation of Jude Bellingham.

However, focusing on Kane, it is said that Ten Hag ‘wants an elite no. 9’ and the Tottenham talisman is ‘seen as a surer guarantee of Premier League goals’ than the aforementioned Osimhen.

Signing the striker ‘won’t be easy’ due to Spurs’ reluctance to let their star player leave.

That report also mentioned the ‘stubborn’ Daniel Levy. Steinberg notes that Man Utd are ‘well aware’ it ‘will not be simple’ to do business with the Spurs chairman.

Ten Hag’s side hopes the uncertainty surrounding Antonio Conte’s future at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will ‘work in their favour’.

It is unlikely that Man Utd will be able to afford both Kane and Bellingham, the report adds.

Osimhen will also cost around £100m, it is believed, and will need to adapt to life in England, making Kane more desirable for the Red Devils.

Saying that, the Spurs striker turns 30 in July, while Osimhen is only 24 years old.

The Nigerian’s form this season has been absolutely scintillating with his 19 goals in 21 Serie A games helping Napoli sit comfortably on top of the table.

Kane, meanwhile, has 18 goals in 26 appearances in the Premier League this season.

As mentioned prior, Kane has not won a trophy at Spurs. , meaning they will finish the season without a piece of silverware for the 15th campaign in a row.

Spurs have had a torturous fortnight, losing at Wolves in the Premier League in between FA Cup and Champions League exits.
