Chelsea forward Joao Felix has dismissed claims that he could join Newcastle United for €100million in the summer.
Felix joined on loan from Atletico Madrid in January.
The Portuguese international was actually sent off on his debut and has only managed three goals in 18 games since moving to London.
Chelsea paid a reported £10m loan fee to land Felix, which felt pretty extortionate at the time given the fact he joined halfway through the 2022/23 campaign.
He has definitely not done enough to justify the Premier League club signing him on a permanent basis, especially considering Atletico Madrid’s asking price.
The La Liga outfit splashed out around €127m (£110m) to sign Felix from Benfica in 2019 and are expected to ask for a fee not too far away from that amount.
The 23-year-old’s future is very much up in the air. Atletico manager Diego Simeone has reportedly fallen out with the player, but he decided to extend his contract at his parent club until 2027 when he joined Chelsea on loan.
Nobody really knows what the hell is going to happen at the end of the season, but it has been made clear by Felix that Newcastle are not the only club willing to pay €100m for him.

Felix’s agent Jorge Mendes will absolutely be on it ahead of the summer transfer window.
He would also fit Newcastle’s philosophy of signing young players ready for first-team action, but his form for the Blues will not have impressed Eddie Howe, you’d think.
Spanish outlet Marca have said that the Magpies are interested with Atletico unlikely to keep hold of both Felix and Simeone.
The report states that Felix is ‘obsessed’ with the idea of playing in the Champions League, which gives Newcastle a pretty solid chance of signing him in the summer.
