VfL Wolfsburg have completed their fifth signing of the summer after securing the services of Augsburg youth team striker Dzenan Pejcinovic on a professional contract until 2027. The 17-year-old scored once in four appearances for FCA’s U19s last season, while also registering 12 goals in 16 outings for the U17s. Munich native Pejcinovic has won 16 caps for Germany’s U17s, scoring an impressive 15 goals.

“We’re pleased we could convince Dzenan about our pathway and our philosophy,” said VfL sporting director Marcel Schäfer. “He has many of the attributes needed to be able to assert himself in the Bundesliga and is already pretty advanced in terms of his footballing development, despite his young age. He has good technique, can read the game well, can score goals and is also a proper team player. Now it’s a matter of gradually introducing him to the demands of the Bundesliga and giving him the time he needs to develop at this high level.”

Aside from Pejcinovic, the Wolves have also signed Jakub Kaminski, Patrick Wimmer, Kilian Fischer and Bartol Franjic for the upcoming campaign.
