VfL Wolfsburg’s pre-season preparations for the new 2024/2025 campaign will begin on Tuesday 9 July, with the first team to undergo performance tests in Wolfsburg on the first two days.
The official start of training for head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side will be on Thursday 11 July, ahead of the team’s first friendly on Saturday 13 July. The traditional WAZ match (the VfL first team against a Beck’s XI) will be held in Wolfsburg-Vorsfelde.
From Thursday 1 August to Friday 9 August, the Wolves will be at a training camp in Schladming, Austria. After returning to Wolfsburg, the VfL Family Festival, including a Kids Day, will be held on the Volkswagen Arena premises on Sunday 11 August.
Further pre-season friendlies are being planned as part of the team’s six-week preparation programme; opponents and kick-off times will be announced in good time. The 2024/25 season begins on the weekend of 23 to 25 August, with the first round of the DFB Cup taking place a week earlier (15 to 18 August).
