VfL Wolfsburg now have the first week of pre-season training behind them, which they rounded off with a 4-0 win in their opening friendly, against a Beck’s XI. Monday will see head coach Niko Kovac’s squad head off for the first of their two training camps. As was the case last summer, they are heading to Seefeld in Tyrol (Austria).

As soon as they have settled in, the Green-and-Whites will have their opening training session at 16:00 CEST on Monday. At the end of the week on their last day in Austria, they will have their second pre-season friendly, with fellow Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg the opponents for a match on Saturday 22 July in Zams (kick-off at 14:00 CEST).

The following 29 players will be taking part in the training camp in Austria: Koen Casteels, Pavao Pervan, Niklas Klinger, Philipp Schulze, Juri Kirchmayr – Kilian Fischer, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Maxence Lacroix, Micky van de Ven, Nicolas Cozza, Moritz Jenz, Cedric Zesiger, Felix Lange, Aster Vranckx, Vaclav Cerny, Jakub Kaminski, Maximilian Philipp, Ridle Baku, Maximilian Arnold, Yannick Gerhardt, Mattias Svanberg, Lukas Ambros, Bartol Franjic, Patrick Wimmer, Kevin Paredes Lukas Nmecha, Tiago Tomas, Dzenan Pejcinovic, Jonas Wind.

There will be plenty of updates from the Wolves’ training camp via our social media channels, but rest assured, we will be providing full reports from Seefeld. From tomorrow (Monday) until the end of the camp on Saturday, there will be news reports and interviews on the VfL website as well as the daily “Wolf tracks” articles that you will have read from previous Wolfsburg training camps as they prepare for the new season. For those of you also reading in German, these articles will be called “Woifsschpuan”, in Tyrolean dialect.
